Purpose and Mission

Purpose: AlignedLeader Development empowers emerging new leaders to improve the human condition and organizational outcomes through aligned leadership.

Mission: AlignedLeader helps organizations develop emerging new leaders that people want to follow because they learn to lead themselves first, aligning their values, purpose, mission, mindsets, actions, goals, energy, time, and focus on what really matters: improving their lives, the human condition, and their organization’s success.

Our primary goals relate to how many new young leaders and organizations we’re able to serve and help succeed. Our primary measure of success is lives improved!

Hi, I’m Jack!

Jack Gocke

Principal, AlignedLeadership Development, Inc.

Jack brings 33 years of aligned leadership perspective to facilitate self-discovery and help others build mindsets and behaviors enabling them to achieve their life’s vision. Jack’s own purpose and mission include taking care of the people he loves above all, living out his values by improving the human condition, helping others succeed, writing, and leading AlignedLeader Development, Inc. toward success by helping new emerging leaders thrive in their lives and within their own organizations.

Jack began his career in the US Army Special Forces (“Green Berets”) and is a graduate of the the most rigorous leadership school in the world: US Army Ranger School (maybe some SEALS dispute that!). His other experiences include nearly three decades of B2B consulting and services in the fields of human capital and risk management for C-Suite executives, leading growth at some of the world’s most well-known firms: Marsh McLennan (Marsh & Mercer), Wells Fargo, Gartner/CEB, and Chubb. He brings extensive multinational and multicultural expertise, having lived and worked all over Europe based out of Munich Germany for four years. He’s both a citizen of the United States of America and the Republic of Ireland, having most proudly been born in Morgantown, West Virginia.

He holds a BA in International Studies (focus economics, political science, and Middle-Eastern/African Studies) from WVU (cum laude), where he was a leader in the Honors Program, served on the Board of Governors, and was President of the WVU Rugby Team.

As someone who tries to live his values, Jack is philanthropically active as a leader in the Greater Washington DC region, serving on the board of the Whitman-Walker Clinic (health services for over 20,000 patients primarily focused on disadvantaged and underserved communities) and volunteers frequently within his community.

Of interest, Jack is the great-grandson of Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich (80 million copies sold), who is widely seen as a founder of success philosophy, right up there with Dale Carnegie.

Jack loves his partner Joey, his family, and his friends, as well as excellent banter, outrageous humor, curiosity in all things, sincerity and loyalty, cooking, skiing, and, on increasing occasion with “wisdom”, finding something new he didn’t know about, which turns out to be quite a lot.
